From Roy — Go ahead. Call me a throwback, a hillbilly, whatever. It’ll be the nicest thing anyone has said to me all day. A show by Don and I takes you back maybe 100 years — all acoustic, a rural sound, no doubt. This CD is our tribute to rural music and Texas dance halls, which by the way has very little to do with dancing. Check one out on a Saturday night. Watch the people closely, You’ll learn a lot. Consider this our musical postcard to Texans everywhere. This sound ain’t for everybody, but we ain’t changing.
Roy Sanders From Don — Playing a real 1930 Dobro, Dobro is a real thrill. Playing with Roy and trying to keep playing rather than stopping and listening to the story being told in his songs is hard. They are that good and soul stirring! If we had a good bull fiddle bass and old time fiddler, we would have the best old time string band going in these parts. However, we don’t. So we make do with ourselves. Come and take a listen here on the CD and on our live performances. Don Ling, Dobro Extraordinaire
